POW! in Brooklyn, NY!
The ISHI book has been picked up by POW!, a children's book publisher in Brooklyn, NY! "POW! publishes books for children that are visually striking, imaginative, funny, and have an offbeat or edgy sensibility."
We are super excited to spread the ISHI love with POW!
ISHI goes to school!
ISHI arrived at the Beecroft Primary School in Australia where approximately 800 students read the ISHI, Simple Tips from a Solid Friend book as a part of the "Healthy Bodies and Healthy Minds" program! Individual programs were written for students from Kindergarten to year 6.
The ISHI book is not available in Australia yet but one of the parents discovered the book (probably during summer vacation in Europe where the book is sold?) and brought it to the school and here we are! The Beecroft Primary School is active in promoting positive mental health strategies for their students and we are honored to be a part of the "Healthy Bodies and Healthy Minds" program!

ISHI visits a 3rd grade class at the Tuscan School in Maplewood, New Jersey!
We made new human and rock friends!
The rocks you see in the above picture all have "birth certificates"!!!!! which includes the rocks' name, the meaning of the name, date of birth, zodiac sign, time of birth, place of birth, height and weight.
We talked about how the ISHI book was born, how the students practice mindfulness in their class (how awesome is that!!) and the students gave me suggestions for the next book :) What a fun visit!
